Carp Tackle: A Marketplace by Carp Anglers, for Carp Anglers

carptackleworld.com was created with a clear goal: to build an ethical, reliable, and transparent community of carp anglers, where used carp fishing equipment can be given a second life in a safe, responsible, and trustworthy way.

Carp Tackle is not a shop, not a retailer, and does not purchase equipment.
It is a marketplace that directly connects passionate carp anglers who want to sell their gear with other carp anglers who are looking to buy.

Buyers on carptackleworld.com share the same passion as you:
the search for the perfect spot, the analysis of the lakebed, the preparation or selection of the right boilies based on water pH, season, and fish species, as well as respect for fishing ethics, fish care, and catch & release.
The quality of the platform depends on the quality of its community.

For this reason, we ask every seller to act with accuracy, transparency, and cooperation, always adopting an ethical approach towards fellow carp anglers.
Being part of Carp Tackle means contributing to a community of conscious carp anglers, where trust is a core value and ethics — both on and off the fishing spot — represent the foundation and guiding principle of the community.

Why Creating Clear and Accurate Listings Matters

A well-written listing:

  • builds trust with other carp anglers;
  • reduces questions, disputes, and misunderstandings;
  • helps you sell your equipment faster;
  • strengthens the reputation of the Carp Tackle community;
  • helps grow your personal reputation within the community for future transactions.

Carp Tackle rewards accurate and transparent listings and discourages misleading or improper behaviour.

During registration, you are required to provide real, truthful, and verifiable information.
Providing false or misleading information may result in:

  • in serious cases, notification of the competent authorities.

Carp Tackle reserves the right to carry out sample checks and verifications following user reports, solely for the purpose of protecting the community.

Once registration is completed and your email address has been confirmed:

  • you will be able to access your private dashboard;
  • where required, you may be asked to link a phone number;
  • you can create and edit your sales listings;
  • you can create your personal Carp Angler Profile;
  • you are fully responsible, as the author, for the information and listings you publish on the Platform.

We strongly believe that a complete and accurate profile that tells your story can give your listings an extra edge.
For this reason, we encourage you to introduce yourself, share your passion, and upload a photo of your most memorable catch — your Personal Best.

A well-completed, descriptive, and authentic profile is more easily welcomed by the Carp Tackle community and can have a positive impact on your sales.

To complete your profile and publish your listings, it is essential to follow the guided process available in your private area.
This process is designed to help you describe your equipment correctly, present yourself effectively, and facilitate connections with potential buyers.

5. Photos, Description, and Category: What Really Makes the Difference

To increase your chances of selling, we recommend paying close attention to the following elements:

  • Category selection
    Choose the category that truly matches the type of equipment you are selling (rods, reels, accessories, etc.).
  • Real and authentic photos
    Upload only photos of the actual item you own and are selling. Images must be clear, well visible, and accurately reflect the real condition of the equipment.
    The use of non-authentic images, stock photos, or images taken from the web is strictly prohibited and may result in serious penalties.
  • Honest and detailed description
    Clearly state the condition of the item, including any signs of wear, defects, or repairs. The more detailed and transparent your listing is, the higher your chances of completing a successful sale.
  • Prohibited practices
    It is not allowed to use images of third-party equipment, whether belonging to private individuals or professional operators.
    The equipment offered for sale must be physically owned and available to the Seller and to the author of the listing.

⚠️ Important
Generic photos, images taken from the internet, or misleading descriptions undermine trust within the community and may lead to the removal of the listing or the account and, in the most serious cases, to notification of the competent authorities.

6. Registration with the Payment Service Provider

To sell on carptackleworld.com, you must complete the registration process with the payment service provider Stripe, and/or with any other payment provider made available by the Platform.

Important:
When completing your seller profile registration on Stripe, please enter www.carptackleworld.com in the website field.
This allows Stripe to correctly link your seller account to our Platform.

It is important to understand that:

  • Carp Tackle does not directly manage payments;
  • the Platform does not hold, handle, or process money, either virtually or physically;
  • it does not perform identity verification or payment information checks;
  • the Platform relies on a certified and professional external payment provider in order to:
    • enhance payment security;
    • reduce the risk of fraudulent behaviour;
    • ensure a reliable payment process for both sellers and buyers;
    • improve the overall experience for carp anglers and users on the Platform.

Registration with Stripe and/or another available payment provider is therefore a mandatory step in order to receive payments and sell safely on the Platform.

    1. Feedback, Communication, and Collaboration Within the Community

    A good seller on Carp Tackle is:

    • responsive to messages;
    • cooperative and respectful towards other carp anglers;
    • attentive to regularly checking their email inbox.

    The Platform may contact you for:

    • requests for clarification;
    • additional information regarding your listings;
    • profile verification checks;
    • updates on control or verification procedures requested by buyers.

    Other Users may contact you for:

    • clarification requests;
    • information about the item and shipping;
    • additional details about a listing;
    • questions regarding the equipment being shipped.

    Clear, timely, and respectful communication helps build trust, reduces misunderstandings, and contributes to a positive experience for everyone in the community. Timely communication helps complete sales faster, reduces the risk of disputes and claims, strengthens the Community, and increases your future business opportunities.

    If you are selling on carptackleworld.com, we strongly recommend checking your email inbox and your account linked to your profile on a daily basis.
    This is essential, as you may receive important messages related to payment processing and the release of funds connected to your listings.

    1. What Happens After a Sale

    When a buyer completes a purchase:

    1. The payment is processed through Stripe or another available payment provider selected by the User.
    2. The funds are temporarily held by the payment provider until you ship the item and enter the shipment tracking details.
    3. To release the funds, the Seller must ship the equipment and submit the shipment tracking number through the Platform.
    4. 48 hours after the tracking number is entered:
      • if the tracking verification returns a positive result, the payment provider will release the funds directly to the bank account or payment method you specified.

    This process is designed to protect both parties and to reinforce trust within the Carp Tackle community.

    9. Selling Fees and Commissions

    Carp Tackle applies a 12% commission only on successfully completed sales.
    The commission is calculated on the total sale amount, excluding shipping costs, and is applied only when the funds are actually transferred.

    It is important to know that:

    • the Carp Tackle commission covers platform operating costs, service development, and the maintenance of a safe and reliable community;
    • any additional fees applied by the payment service provider (such as Stripe or similar providers) may vary depending on the payment method selected and are not determined by Carp Tackle;
    • such fees are managed directly by the payment provider and applied in accordance with its own contractual terms.

    Carp Tackle does not charge listing fees or fixed selling costs.
    Creating a profile and publishing listings is completely free.

    The commission is due only if a sale is successfully completed.
    If you don’t sell, you don’t pay anything.

    10. Selling well means offering rela value

    Anyone buying on Carp Tackle is a carp angler looking for quality gear and real savings compared to the price of new equipment.

    If you want to sell your used equipment faster, keep these key principles in mind:

    • set a price that reflects the actual condition of the equipment;
    • offer a genuine saving compared to the price of the same item when new;
    • a good second-hand deal should normally provide the buyer with a real saving of around 35–50% compared to the original retail price;
    • be transparent about wear, signs of use, or any defects in the equipment you are selling.
      This helps avoid disputes, builds trust within the Community, and allows you to continue selling smoothly and confidently;
    • do not use edited or artificially altered images, including images modified using tools or Artificial Intelligence.
      Such practices may result in removal from the Community and suspension of your account;
    • respond promptly to messages;
    • ship items on time and with proper care
      (for example: rigid tubes for fishing rods, protective cases for bite alarms, and similar equipment).

    A realistic listing and a well-managed sale increase buyer confidence and strengthen your reputation within the Carp Tackle community.

    11. Feedback and Reputation:
    The Value of Your Profile

    On Carp Tackle, reputation is one of the most important elements for growing over time and successfully completing great deals.

    At the end of a transaction:

    • if available, be the first to leave an honest and constructive feedback about the buyer;
    • receiving positive feedback increases the visibility and reliability of your profile, with a highlighted Trusted Seller badge;
    • a profile with good reviews inspires confidence and makes future sales easier;
    • give trust, act fairly, and you will receive the same when you are the buyer.

    Correct, collaborative, and respectful behaviour helps grow not only your own profile, but the entire Carp Tackle carp angler community.

    12. Carp Tackle Is a Community, Not Just a Platform

    carptackleworld.com is a space dedicated to the sale of premium and high-quality used carp fishing equipment.
