1. For Users: How to Report a Listing
To submit a report, access the “Report Abuse” feature available in your user dashboard. You may select the type of improper behaviour from the dropdown menu and submit the report to Carp Tackle.
The platform will review the report and, where it is supported by objective and verifiable elements, may adopt appropriate disciplinary measures. Such measures may include, where applicable, the suspension or closure of the account and, if necessary, notification of the competent authorities.
You will receive an email or in-platform notification confirming receipt of your report.
If the report is deemed well-founded, the user who published the listing will also receive a notification regarding the violation of the Community Rules.
Please note that false or malicious reports are assessed in accordance with the Code of Conduct. Where Carp Tackle detects attempts to damage the reputation of other users or sellers, a first notification of abuse will be issued. In the event of repeated misconduct, the account will be permanently closed and the user removed from the community.
2. Do Your Own Checks: Verifying Uploaded ImagesOn Carp Tackle, transparency is a core value.
For this reason, we strongly encourage all users to carefully review the images uploaded in listings, together with the description, price, and all communications with the seller.
Today, there are free online tools that allow users to carry out simple but effective checks, in particular to:
• identify whether an image may have been generated or altered using artificial intelligence;
• verify whether an image has been copied from the internet, from other listings, or from external websites.
These checks do not require technical expertise and help to make the community safer for everyone.
Verifying whether an image has been generated using artificial intelligence
There are online tools that analyse images and flag potential characteristics commonly associated with AI-generated content.
Below are examples of simple and reliable tools that users may use to verify images:
• AI or Not (https://www.aiornot.com)
• Hive Moderation (AI-generated content detection) (https://hivemoderation.com/ai-generated-content-detection);
• Illuminarty (https://www.illuminarty.ai)
Verifying whether an image has been copied from the web or from other listings
Reverse image search tools allow users to check whether a photo already exists online, potentially associated with other listings or used in different contexts.
Recommended tools include standard reverse image search services provided by major search engines.
Recommended Reverse Image Search Tools
• Google Images (Reverse Image Search)
By uploading an image, you can check whether it already exists on the web.
https://images.google.com
• TinEye
A search engine specialised in reverse image lookup.
https://tineye.com
• Bing Visual Search
An effective alternative to Google for visual searches.

Never make a purchase impulsively. For your own safety, always carry out these checks, even when the seller has a good reputation and positive reviews.
Why should I verify a listing again if I already know the seller?
Because the seller you believe you are dealing with may be the victim of an account takeover (also known as identity theft).
In such cases, the person you are communicating with may not be the legitimate account owner, but a third party acting fraudulently.

4. For Users: Anti-Fraud Rules and Precautions Purchase Safety on Carp Tackle
Buyer safety is a top priority on Carp Tackle. We understand how important it is to shop online with confidence and peace of mind. For this reason, we have established clear guidelines designed to protect users from fraud, deception attempts, and improper behaviour by third parties.
a) Why It Is Important to Stay Within the Platform
Always remain within the platform.
Be cautious of any request that attempts to move the transaction or communication outside the community and the platform, even if it comes from a “known” contact or from someone you may have previously dealt with. Such requests may be linked to identity theft or account takeover.
The platform provides users with secure external payment tools and communication procedures designed to track actions and behaviours, including the transmission of shipment tracking details following a completed transaction.
For this reason, all communications and payment requests must be carried out exclusively through the internal and external tools made available by Carp Tackle to protect user safety and reduce the risk of fraudulent activity.
Transactions conducted outside the platform — such as contacts via SMS, private email, external messaging services, or direct transfers — do not provide protection in the event of disputes or fraud and are not covered by the protection measures offered by the external payment service provider used by the platform.
Essential Safety Tips
• Always keep all conversations within the platform.
• Complete payments only through the payment methods supported and provided by Carp Tackle.
• Avoid any request for payment to bank accounts, cards, or digital wallets not connected to the platform.
• Do not respond to emails or contact requests without first verifying the authenticity of the sender.
If you have any doubts, contact us directly at:
support@carptackleworld.com to confirm the legitimacy of the communication you have received.
• Protect your platform login credentials with the utmost care.
• Use strong, complex, alphanumeric passwords.
Many fraudulent attempts rely on spoofing and phishing techniques, simulating contacts, emails, or graphic and structural elements of the platform in order to deceive users and obtain their login credentials for fraudulent activities.
While we actively work to limit fraudulent attempts, marketplaces and online platforms are statistically among the most targeted environments for scammers.
For this reason, we strongly recommend exercising maximum caution at all times.
b) Common Types of Risks and How to Protect Yourself
The internet and digital tools continue to evolve, and so do the methods used by fraudsters to deceive users. Below are some of the most common threats you should be aware of:
• Phishing
Attacks carried out via emails or messages that appear to come from trusted sources but are designed to obtain sensitive information such as passwords or financial details.
• Smishing
Similar to phishing, but conducted via SMS messages containing deceptive links or requests. These messages often imitate the platform’s structure, logos, or contact details.
• Vishing
Fraud attempts carried out through voice calls, in which the fraudster pretends to be a legitimate service in order to obtain private information or persuade the user to perform risky actions.
Never disclose personal data or login credentials over the phone.
• Deceptive links and fraudulent QR codes
Criminals may include malicious links or “trap” QR codes that redirect users to websites designed to steal data or install malware.
• “Too good to be true” or time-limited offers
Be cautious of unusually low prices or “urgent” offers, as they may conceal fake purchase scams. Always verify the seller’s history, reviews, and user feedback.
If a seller profile has little or no transaction history, this does not automatically indicate a risk. Carp Tackle provides tools such as shipment tracking verification for purchased equipment.
If anything appears unclear or raises concerns, you may postpone the release of funds until the item has been successfully delivered.
c) How to Protect Yourself
To protect your purchases and your user profile within the platform, please follow these simple but effective precautions:
✔ Always verify the seller’s profile
Check feedback, transaction history, and listing activity before proceeding with a purchase.
✔ Use only official payment channels
Make payments exclusively through the payment methods provided by the platform. Carp Tackle relies on an external payment service provider to ensure high security standards and a safe purchasing experience.
✔ Never share personal information or verification codes
No legitimate seller will ever ask for PINs, passwords, authentication codes, or other sensitive information.
Likewise, Carp Tackle will never request that you share your password or any data related to your user profile.
✔ Avoid public and unsecured Wi-Fi networks
Unsecured networks can be easily compromised by malicious actors. Always use private or protected connections and devices (PCs, smartphones, tablets) equipped with antivirus software and proactive security tools.
Official statistics show that a significant number of digital fraud incidents result from the failure to meet basic security requirements (such as antivirus, firewall, anti-spam protection, and similar safeguards).
✔ Be cautious of external communications
Never respond to messages claiming to be from Carp Tackle unless they are sent through the platform’s official applications, messaging tools, or verified contact channels.
5. What to Do in Case of Fraud Carp Tackle
is committed to building and maintaining a safe community. However, despite preventive measures, it is possible that malicious actors may attempt to operate within the platform. It is therefore important to know how to act if you believe you may be the victim of a scam.
If you suspect fraudulent activity, please follow these steps:
1. Stop the transaction immediately
If you have doubts about an ongoing transaction with a seller, do not proceed with any further action. You may report the user through the platform in order to request verification of the profile.
2. Request verification of shipment tracking
If you have concerns regarding the shipment tracking information provided by the seller, submit a verification request using the “Report Abuse” feature.
This allows us to carry out checks on the profile and the transaction. Where applicable, the release of funds may be postponed until effective delivery of the shipment.
If the item is not delivered following the verification process, the case will be handled in accordance with the procedures of the external payment service provider and the applicable protection measures.
3. Report the listing or the user
Report the listing or the user using the reporting tools available in your restricted area. This enables Carp Tackle to take appropriate action and conduct further investigations.
4. Gather as much information as possible before completing a transaction
Before initiating contact or finalising a transaction, collect as much information as possible about the seller.
Unlike many platforms, Carp Tackle allows users to create a detailed angler profile, including personal descriptions, notes about their passion, and, where available, photos of their catches.
You are encouraged to:
• use Google Images and other online tools;
• check social media and public sources;
• verify the authenticity of the information provided;
• review any negative comments or feedback;
• examine the seller’s transaction history and community reviews, where available.
5. Contact law enforcement if necessary
The messaging function remains available for 30 days after the transaction. Use this period to communicate with the seller and retain all messages.
If the seller becomes unresponsive or the issue remains unresolved, we recommend that you also contact Law Enforcement Authorities and file an official report, either online or at the nearest competent office.
Stay within Carp Tackle. Stay within the community. Stay safe.
